Dr. Shannon McCole received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and her Medical Degree at Loyola University in Chicago. After graduating, Dr. McCole completed her ophthalmology residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS). Even as she began her own practice, she stayed dedicated to the program at EVMS and volunteered as a community faculty member. After years of taking on additional responsibilities as an unpaid volunteer, Dr. McCole joined EVMS full-time as the Program Director & Chairman of the Ophthalmology Department. During her career, Dr. McCole was honored as a “Top Eye Doctor” by Coastal Virginia Magazine from 2013 to 2019. With more than 15 years of experience, Dr. McCole comes to Beach Eye Care specializing in BOTOX®, fillers, and intense pulse light (IPL) therapy. Dr. McCole is accepting new patients and is available on Wednesday afternoons at our Holland Road location for consultation and treatment.
