Deanna M. Ritenour, OD completed her Bachelor of Art degree at Washington & Jefferson College. She then received her Bachelor of Science degree at Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where she completed a two-year internship at The Eye Institute and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree. Through her experience at four different externships, including The Allentown VA Outpatient Clinic and Advanced Eyecare PC in Pennsylvania, she gained thorough knowledge of providing full-scope optometric care. Dr. Ritenour continued her practice with four years of work at Commonwealth Vision Care Associates, P.C. in Chesapeake, further perfecting her skills as a compassionate practitioner. Her areas of specialty include ocular pathology as it relates to diabetes, specialty lens fits for corneal diseases (keratoconus) including scleral and hybrid lenses and pediatric eye care. Dr. Ritenour also serves the community by providing preschool eye exam screenings for children in the Chesapeake area.
