Virginia Beach, VA (February 11, 2016) – Beach Eye Care introduced dropless cataract surgery to Virginia where the antibiotic and steroid are placed in a sustained release form in the vitreous behind the newly implanted IOL (intraocular lens). In the cataract surgery procedure, a very small (1/10th″) incision is made by laser or diamond and ultrasound energy breaks up the clouded lens for removal.
